When Diane was between 8-13 years old she lived in Japan. This contributed to her knowledge of food. However, Diane grew up eating mostly a typical American diet so that by the time she was 14 years old she had Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Because of this she was addicted to pepto bismol. When she was tested they found nothing wrong except IBS. At this point she decided to stop eating anything animal. This worried her family but it made an immediate change in Diane’s body. Meat does not digest, it rots through the system. It causes your colon to back up which causes a spastic colon (IBS).

When she went off to college she was able to completely change her diet. One of the changes she made was that she started juicing regularly. Through the years Diane tried many different diets. After years of eating vegetables and fruits she discovered the movement of “Raw”. When she discovered this movement she learned how to create food from any of the food groups she wanted. She could make raw cheese, desserts, raw mushroom burgers, and lots more.

Diane was introduced to the  “raw” movement through a variety of seminars she attended in the Chicago area. After this, Diane started experimenting and creating her own recipes. She started sprouting and dehydrating.
